Onyx Note Air 2 vs Note Air:
The Onyx Boox Note Air 2 impresses with its sleek, compact, and super-fast E Ink tablet, which features paper-like digital note-taking, annotating, and Google Play Store apps. Despite using the same E Ink technology as the Kindle, the Note Air 2 is more focused on productivity. Yes, you can read books on it — in any of 17 different file formats, no less – and use the Kindle app to do it.
This large 10.3-inch screen, on the other hand, is for editing. It will enlarge A4 papers to make them easier to read and change, but it will not display them in their original size.
Why Should You buy the Onyx Boox Note Air 2:
Buy it if:
You need to edit A4 documents
You want to move to digital note-taking
The small size of e-readers is a problem for you.
Don’t buy it if:
You like to read in the bath
You’re not a Google user
You need to type and email

Features – Overview of Onyx Boox Note Air 2 Cover:
The Note Air 2 has a 10.3-inch E INK Carta HD display with a 350ms reaction time and a resolution of 18721404 pixels per inch (PPI). It features a glass display with a flush screen and little bezel. A WACOM element is also included, which can be used with the supplied stylus to take notes, freehand draw, or edit PDF files.
Because a screen protector was put at the manufacturer, you won't need to use one. It's a unique one from Onyx called writing film, and it provides greater resistance while writing on the screen with the stylus. In comparison to the first-generation model, it includes additional LED lights, a color temperature system, and a front-lit display.
Review – Onyx Boox Note Air 2:
In the United States, the majority of E Ink readers are 6- or 7-inch devices, which are perfect for reading most books one-handed. People who routinely read large-format books or take notes on their tablets, such as the Onyx Boox Note Air 2 ($499.99), may choose a tablet with more screen real estate.
Unlike Kindles, the Note Air 2 has a microphone and speaker. The tablet does not include a headphone jack because it is smaller than a 3.5mm connector; nevertheless, Bluetooth headphones can be used instead. On the outside, there's a power button and a USB-C port. It uses dual-band Wi-Fi to connect to the internet.
The Onyx Boox Note Air 2 has much more to offer than its colossal size. It's compact, measuring only 5.8mm in-depth, and has a wide spine on the left side, making it comfortable to grasp with one hand. The front light is included for use at night or in dimly lit airplane cabins. The Note Air 2's illumination is naturally set to a warm yellowy tint, which contrasts with the blue-tinged light found on competing tablets and e-readers.
The Note Air 2 does, however, share one characteristic with tablets. It runs the Android 11 operating system, allowing it to run a wide selection of Google Play Store apps. Some apps (for example, anything with graphics or... gasp... video) don't operate as well on an E Ink screen as they do on a standard screen, although well-known productivity apps do.
The Onyx Boox Note Air 2 is likewise very simple to operate. Scrawled notes can be converted to text and/or shared as PNG or PDF files with other devices and productivity applications, and there's also a handy home-baked BooxDrop software that makes dragging and dropping files from a computer onto the Note Air 2 a breeze.

Onyx Note Air 2 vs Note Air:
Internal storage and RAM have been increased, and the operating system has been updated from Android 10 to Android 11. Firmware 3.2, which will be published for Air 1 soon, is also included. I don't think the $500 difference is worth it if you already own the 1, but it's excellent that new customers may choose between the 2 and the now-cheaper Note Air 1.
